Hello,

I'd love to hear what your experience was like when you asked for references at the daycare.

Here's what the administrator answered me:

You're the first person to ask for references. No other place will give you references. No, we don't give them because:
-We trust our work
-we're not begging for clients
-there's a high demand for the places in the daycare
-if a parent doesn't like it, s/he just leaves
-we don't want to bother the parents with people contacting them
-references are not trustworthy because an administrator can simply refer you to a parent they know likes the daycare

I liked the place, but after these points being brought up, I'm not sure it's the right place for my child.

Hoping to hear from you!

Wow. Run for the hills ! A reputable daycare should give you references... I see lots of red flags there. Don't bother with them, they are not worth dealing with.

Good luck !

I agree with Maggyloo... a good daycare should already have a list of references among parents who no longer use their daycare and shouldn't have people leave because they are not satisfied.

I personally have a small list of former users that I put new users in contact with via e-mail, it works fine for everyone.
