Requirement and Qualifications:

· Bilingual (Fluent in both French and English)

· Valid First-Aid Certificate

· Educational background in Early Childhood Education (E.C.E.) or higher pedagogical degree

· Minimum 5 years of work experience in leading or directing a daycare or after school program

· Supervisory experience

· Computer literacy



Assets:

· Experience with budget management

· Knowledge of ministry regulations pertaining to daycares

Day-to-day management and operation of the Gardenview Elementary School Before & After School (BASIC) daycare program in a dynamic and bilingual setting. Direct activities and staff (30+ monitors) to provide instruction and care for children (300+) registered in BASIC program. Enhance the BASIC program by developing services tailored to the needs, and interest of children and their families. Employs strong bilingual communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, school staff, Home and School and Governing Board.
